Jesus said "A new commandment I give unto you; That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:34-35 KJV

It is of my opinion that if we never learn how to love one another; it is because we never come to love Christ which requires us to take the time to get to know Him. It is my desire as a pastor that every member of the body of Christ have a genuine relationship with the one and true, living God.

How do you get to know God? Well, it takes more than Sunday morning worship!

Praying

Clearing your mind of all troubles and having a talk with God where you should grow to do more listening than talking.

Ask questions of a spiritually mature individual. Questions like:

Why does He allow the free choice for us to sin?

Why does He allow/or (possibly) make His people suffer?

How are there troubles when doing "good"?

Why did He let His Son suffer, bleed and die on the cross for all people (even killers)?

Why did Christ need to return to the Father in Heaven?

Why did He send the Holy Spirit?

You will learn many things about God that you didn't know. This information, also, will help you to explain God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to your non-Christian friends. I must implore you to consider Bible study and Sunday school because these questions are also answered in these platforms.

READ YOUR BIBLE!!!

The Bible is the written word of God and it will answer for you; What does He like? What does He dislike? What makes Him happy, sad or angry? What does He value? What does He think is foolishness? All these answers are in the book.

Become an active part of ministry

Arriving to service; sitting in the pews and doing the actions you're supposed to do (bow your head, stand up, sit down, etc.) is not enough. Ministry is engagement with others and is needed inside and beyond the walls of the church. So, as much as you can, while you can, help others, teach others, love everybody, and be blessed.

Until we ALL come in unity of the faith….. I Love You,
