Victory Requires Endurance

I was watching the news and marveled at the tenacity of journalists and camera crews braving the hazardous weather conditions for the passion of reporting information. I also wondered what would happen if they ever chose to stay home!
Endurance is the persistent and purposeful desire to never give up no matter what. This means that we must not take on the victim attitude of pity no matter how tough times get. One of my favorite quotes states, “You can be powerful or pitiful, but you can’t be both.” Instead we must recognize that the battle belongs to God and that difficult times are just part of the journey. If you are facing difficulties in your life, just hold on, God has everything under control. You can be a victor not a victim.
When we know the bigger purpose behind each of our efforts, it makes enduring the certain struggles, ups and downs a manageable part of the journey. Every person who has chosen to still go to work; still show up and perform is truly motivated by something greater, even if it’s simply maintaining food and shelter for their families.
Knowing your purpose keeps your efforts and thoughts focused on the benefit of continuing the journey every day. Your purpose will guide your goals.

Love and hugs,
